Are you planning to visit Puerto Vallarta? This is a quick travel guide and tips to make your stay as convenient as possible without breaking the bank:
Internet/LTE Make sure you visit the nearest OXXO. There's one outside the airport. And don't ask for a sim! Make sure to ask and say chip and bring your own pin to insert/remove sim cards. It'll save you a lot of time. Google Maps and Google Translate is your best ally to enjoy wandering the local area. Internet is a must!
Transportation Are you on a budget and trying to save money during this trip? Say no more! You can actually book an UBER outside PVR. Across the main road and pass the foot bridge, the wi-fi signal actually is still available near that spot. You can also take the bus if you manage to know the location you are going to for only $10 Mexican Peso.
Pack Light, Pack Right Say goodbye to that extra pair of shoes you never wear at home and make room for souvenirs instead!
Sunscreen, Not Sunburn Avoid looking like a lobster and remember, a sunburn is only funny in movies. SPF is your new best friend!
Tacos, Tacos, Tacos You didn't come to Puerto Vallarta to count calories, so indulge in the taco paradise that awaits you on every corner! Make sure to visit Pancho's Takos for good instagram-worthy posts.
Beach Bum Essentials Whether you're a surfer at heart or just in it for the margaritas, ensure you have your beach essentials for a day of fun in the sun.
Hola, Amigo! Learn a few basic Spanish phrases for that extra flair and to navigate the local markets like a pro!
Tequila: Friend or Foe? Sip, don't shoot! Tequila is meant to be enjoyed, not as a challenge. Pace yourself, señor/senorita!
Wander Wisely Get lost in the cobblestone streets but always keep an eye out for colorful murals and hidden gems.
Adventure Awaits Whether it's zip-lining through the jungle or swimming in waterfalls, take a leap of faith (literally) and try something new! The sunrise paddle board experience is the one that really stands out for me the most.
You can reach out with one of a good friend who I met for these activities:
villa.ilva1998@gmail.com or +52 322 210 4876
He can help you with booking and can give you good prices too!
PS. He speaks good English and learning to speak French as well.
Cat Nap Siesta Embrace the local traditions and take a siesta after a hearty lunch – the beach will still be there when you wake up.
Good Vibes Only Remember, you're on Mexican time now! Soak in the laid-back atmosphere, enjoy the stunning sunsets, and let the worries melt away.
TIPS You want to make a local Mexican happy? Make sure to give tips. Want them EXTRA happy? Try to give in USD. Even a $1 bill can paint a smile on faces. Don't forget to bring a lot of $1 bill on your trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
